Sources of single photons
The team is developing single-photon sources organized into arrays with a period shorter than the wavelength within a single atomic layer of transition-metal dichalcogenides. The goal is to induce the quantum photonic correlations necessary for the emergence of collective states such as sub- or super-radiant states. We are also developing sources based on InGaN quantum dots or deep defects in GaN. By exploiting the unique properties of nitrides, our research aims to establish quantum lattices in the telecom wavelength range.
